KING COUNTY PROOF OF VACCINATION MANDATE

Beginning October 25, 2021 - all athletes, parents, spectators and guests 12+ years of age must show proof of full vaccination or negative PCR COVID-19 test done within the last 72 hours. Please visit our COVID-19 News page for complete information and instructions.

PROOF OF VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE TEST

Beginning October 25, people 12+ years of age are required to show proof of vaccination in a number of public places, including Indoor recreational activities of any size, such as performances, movie theaters, conferences, or gyms.

As of October 25, Kraken program participants, parents and spectators 12+ years of age will be required to show their vaccination or negative test result as stated below to enter the Fieldhouse.

What is considered proof of vaccination?

  • CDC COVID-19 vaccine record card or photo of vaccine card
  • Printed certificate from MyIRMobile.com
  • Other official immunization record from within or outside the U.S., including from your health care provider
  • A photo or photocopy of this card is also acceptable.

OPTIONS FOR UNVACCINATED OR THOSE UNABLE TO PROVE STATUS

  • People who are unvaccinated or cannot prove vaccination status must show proof of a negative PCR COVID19 test in the last 72 hours. 
  • A person is considered “fully vaccinated” two weeks after their second dose of Moderna or Pfizer or their first dose of Johnson & Johnson. 

Documentation of medical or religious exemptions are not allowed or accepted by King County.

There are many free PCR COVID-19 test sites, including a drive-thru option a mile from Fieldhouse, see info below. Results have been as fast as 24 hours.

72 HOUR TEST PROOF TIMING

For adults and youth athletes 12+ years of age that can not provide proof of vaccination and are participating in Kraken programs multiple days in a week, a new negative test result will be required every 72 hours.

Example: a test taken on Monday with result on Tuesday will not suffice as of Friday, the athlete must be retested with a negative result before attending on Friday. Athletes with a negative result from a Monday test can attend programs through Thursday without providing another test result. Please see below for information on the Auburn testing site which we have experienced 24 hour turn around for results.


Arrival & Check-In

All youth and adult athletes should perform a home health screen before heading to the Fieldhouse. Anyone who has symptoms, or has been in contact with someone who has or may have COVID-19 please stay home. 

When you arrive at the Fieldhouse you will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result as stated above. 

Contract Tracing & Documentation

If a case of COVID-19 is reported to Kraken, we will notify all of the participants who may have come in to contact with the individual.

  • If an athlete becomes sick, notify Kraken.
  • Have the athlete tested and notify Kraken of result.
  • Athletes must be asymptomatic with negative test to return for play.

Cleaning & Sanitizing

Cleaning and sanitization protocols are inline with CDC Guidelines.

  • Common surfaces are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.
  • Sanitizing agent is a bleach solution recommended by the CDC.
  • Benches, nets, poles, balls and carts are sanitized before each session.
  • Balls are designated and only used by assigned training group.
  • Each court has a sanitizing station to be used during sessions.

PPE & SANITIZATION TOOLS

Kraken has the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanitization tools necessary to provide a safe environment for for our staff, participants and guests. Face coverings/masks must be worn by every staff member, before, during and after all program sessions, and they must practice social distancing.
