Baseball/Softball Manager | Aurora Colorado

Kraken has an outstanding opportunity for an energetic, knowledgeable, and collaborative professional, to manage our boys, girls and adult baseball and softball programs in our new Denver, CO location. Programming includes:  baseball and softball club teams, camps, clinics, private instruction, in-house leagues, hosted tournaments and management of our indoor training center. This position requires excellent organization, communication & problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering program excellence. The region manager will have experience helping to develop and manage sports programs and a team of coaches/instructors/associates who are responsible for facilitating practices, in-game management, recruitment/retainment of players, and parental communication. The ideal candidate will have an established regional college coach network and a successful track record of working with athletes through the recruiting process.

Kraken is a youth and adult sports club, providing education and competition in the sports of basketball, futsal, volleyball, baseball, and softball. Our club is opening a new location in Denver, Colorado, offering indoor and outdoor baseball and softball instruction, training and boys and girls club teams. Our state-of-the-art facility will also be home to our basketball, futsal and volleyball clubs. Our new home will feature indoor turfed batting and pitching cages/tunnels outfitted with video analysis systems. Our facility also features 4 basketball / 8 volleyball hardwood courts, a kid’s adventure park and a restaurant. We are excited to bring quality sports education and competition to our location in Denver. 



  • Manage and deliver exceptional youth baseball and softball programs
  • Recruit, develop, train and manage baseball/softball staff
  • Develop/Mentor staff as needed to achieve results and professional goals
  • Assist with development of athlete, family and community events


  • Work with community leaders, internal and external sports administrators to develop, implement and maintain collaborative offerings to support Kraken Sports’ youth and adult programs.
  • Establish regional marketing plan to achieve and surpass participation goals
  • Use subject matter expertise to strategize with leadership to build improved programs and standardized, sport specific instruction for athletes and coaches.
  • Work with programs manager to document curriculum (practice plans, skill development, analysis, etc.) as part of the coach manual

Program Delivery

  • Take ownership of player, parent/guardian, event, or facility escalations
  • Work with leadership team to schedule, market and execute club hosted tournaments/leagues (sanctioning, securing officiating, off-site play fields, etc.)
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish practice and competition schedules
  • Location's recruiting coordinator with established network of collegiate/professional scouts, promoting Kraken’s curriculum, analytics, and athletic and academic achievements


  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred degree in sports/recreation-related field
  • 5+ years of baseball/softball club management experience
  • 3+ years of managing community, school, and or club athletic programs/teams
  • Previous program management experience


  • 10+ years coaching baseball/softball teams in a club or school environment
  • 5+ years management experience in a sports/recreation-related field


  • Knowledge and ability to research, develop, implement and evaluate programs that increase Kraken's footprint in the sport club industry, regionally and nationally
  • Knowledge of facility/event management and teamwork concepts.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable with parent and club leadership discussions
  • Track record creating positive competitive team culture and learning environments


  • Background clearance
  • AAU Coach Membership
  • AAU/Kraken required coach certifications
  • Experience playing baseball/softball at a competitive level (High School, Collegiate, Semi/Pro)
  • Valid driver’s license, access to an automobile for travel to off-site locations


  • Variable hours based on business needs to include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Required to travel within region, availability to travel with club teams. Some overnight stays required
  • Requires the use of a computer for extended periods of time while developing materials and managing correspondence
